sepro-fine-slag-treatment-flowsheetToday Sepro has released a simplified flowsheet and process description for its incinerator bottom ash Fine Slag Treatment Plant (FSTP).

The Sepro FSTP is ideally suited for the recovery of fine ferrous and precious metals from incinerator bottom ash. Specifically, the plant processes bottom ash that is below 2mm and utilizes size separation, magnetic separation and centrifugal gravity separation to generate three concentrates and a reject stream. The three concentrates include a ferrous metal concentrate, a high copper gravity concentrate and a precious metals concentrate. The resulting reject stream is clean and non-hazardous for use in construction materials or for conventional landfill disposal.
